30 Years of Manure Application
From a Vacuum Truck to 170 Million Gallons
Puck Custom Enterprises began in 1979 as Puck Brothers Pumping. That year Ben partnered with his brother and bought two vacuum trucks to begin hauling liquid manure for area farmers. Four years later Ben continued solo as Ben Puck Pumping and steadily grew to six vacuum tracks. Eventually the vacuum trucks were replaced by tractors and honey wagons and the first TerraGator was added in 1998 when the business became Puck Custom Enterprises, Incorporated. The next year a drag hose system was added and in 2004 another TerraGator was purchased. The drag hose system continued to grow and in the Fall of 2005 the first PCE Hose Cart was manufactured. PCE's drag hose service grew steadily and has since branched into 3 full lines that applied about 175 million gallons in 2009. In the Spring of 2009 the PCE Hose Cart received a US Patent. Today, the company manufactures a full line of drag hose manure application equipment with patents pending on several designs. 2010 will bring the opening of a new building for equipment manufacture and sales, as well as the release of several new pieces of PCE Drag Hose Equipment.
Puck Custom Enterprises Incorporated is owned and operated by Ben and Kathy Puck in West Central Iowa. PCE is a certified custom application business by the state of Iowa DNR and all employees are certified manure applicators by the state of Iowa. At PCE the Spring and Fall seasons are spent applying liquid manure and focus then shifts to building drag hose equipment through the Winter and Summer months. PCE's first hand experience over the past 30 years applying manure with vacuum trucks, honey wagons, terragators, and drag hoses, has given PCE a great understanding of the obstacles liquid applicators face. This experience is the base for all pieces of PCE Equipment.
